Mae Sot Projects

Jue Jue’s Safe Space provides mental health services and mental health awareness programs for migrant Burmese workers in Mae Sot, Thailand. We provide mental health awareness trainings, anger management and stress management trainings, MHPSS trainings, suicide prevention trainings, Counseling, and other programs/events, in collaboration with other organizations based in Mae Sot, to provide the best services for the mental health of migrant Burmese workers.

Jue Jue’s Safe Space is providing a range of training courses to raise Mental Health Awareness for Burmese migrant workers in Mae Sot, Thailand. The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Training is a program that shares and teaches about the psychosocial needs of Burmese migrant workers, how to build safe spaces, and how to support them.

Jue Jue’s Safe Space (JJSS) has created a Community Mural Project as Art Therapy, with the aim of relieving the stress and creating a safe and peaceful space for Burmese migrant workers in Mae Sot, Thailand.

Jue Jue’s Safe Space provides awareness-raising talks and training to prevent suicide among the Burmese migrant worker community and displaced persons in Mae Sot, Thailand.

Women & Mental Health

Jue Jue’s Safe Space has been providing mental health services to women refugees, pregnant women, survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence, as well as women leaders and women activists since 2021. We provide mental health trainings, resilience building programs, and support group sessions for women in collaboration with other women’s organizations.

School Counseling Project at Demoso

Jue Jue’s Safe Space also provides mental health services to Myanmar students and youths regardless of the location. Jue Jue’s Safe Space’s Demoso Team is actively working on the ground with students and youth in Demoso, Karenni State, providing personal educational services, mental health training, and school counseling projects.

Jue Jue’s Safe Space has been actively involved in helping to reduce the stress and anxiety experienced by LGBTQ+ community members due to emotional abuse, and in creating a safe community for LGBTQ+ members.

Pride of Top Ten Percent

Jue Jue’s Safe Space, in collaboration with Kings N Queens and Myanmar Rainbow Political Community, created a safe community event for LGBTQ+ members in Mae Sot, Thailand, called “Pride of Top 10%. The event included sharing mental health knowledge, supporting trauma, and providing fun quizzes and entertainment.
