Three Years of Hope, Three Years of Saving Lives
In October 2025, Jue Jue’s Safe Space proudly marks the third anniversary of Myanmar’s first-ever 24/7 (24 hours for 7 days a week) Suicide Prevention Helpline.
During these past three years, this helpline has been a lifeline for hundreds of people who felt there was no way forward. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, it is free and accessible to anyone in Myanmar or abroad who needs urgent emotional support.
When we began in 2022, Myanmar was already facing the crushing weight of war, political unrest, poverty, and displacement. Since then, these challenges have only intensified. Natural disasters, forced conscription, and worsening economic hardship have pushed more and more people to the edge.
Over the past three years, thanks to your support, we have:
Answered the call and saved the lives of over 400 people in crisis.
Trained 11 full batches of dedicated volunteer responders, providing monthly supervision and continuous education to maintain U.S. safety standards in suicide prevention.
Offered culturally appropriate, trauma-informed care in Burmese and English.
Built trust as a reliable presence for communities in Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States.
Today, Jue Jue’s Safe Space is like a speeding train of hope — gaining momentum, saving more lives, and refusing to stop in the face of hardship. To continue providing this crucial service, we need funding.
Without your generosity, we cannot continue offering this vital, free life-saving service. Your donation directly funds training, supervision, technology and a round-the-clock presence of volunteers who may be the only voice standing between a caller and the unthinkable.
Your gift today could save a life tonight.
Please stand with us as we enter our fourth year — stronger, faster, and more determined than ever to protect the lives of and offer hope to the people of Myanmar.
We are a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Hawaii. All donations are tax-deductible.
Together, let’s continue saving lives.
Because every life matters.
