In October 2025, Jue Jue’s Safe Space proudly marks the third anniversary of Myanmar’s first-ever 24/7 (24 hours for 7 days a week) Suicide Prevention Helpline.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space provides mental health services and mental health awareness programs for migrant Burmese workers in Mae Sot, Thailand. We provide mental health awareness trainings, anger management and stress management trainings, MHPSS trainings, suicide prevention trainings, Counseling, and other programs/events, in collaboration with other organizations based in Mae Sot, to provide the best services for the mental health of migrant Burmese workers.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space has been providing mental health services to women refugees, pregnant women, survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence, as well as women leaders and women activists since 2021. We provide mental health trainings, resilience building programs, and support group sessions for women in collaboration with other women’s organizations.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space provides mental health services to Burmese migrant workers, young students, women, and political asylum seekers in the United States. Founder Jue Jue Min Thu has actively participated in lectures and mental health conversations in Hawaii, California, New York, and Arizona to promote the mental health of the Burmese community in the United States.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space also provides mental health services to Myanmar students and youths regardless of the location. Jue Jue’s Safe Space’s Demoso Team is actively working on the ground with students and youth in Demoso, Karenni State, providing personal educational services, mental health training, and school counseling projects.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space also collaborates with other LGBTQ+ organizations to share mental health knowledge for LGBTQ+ members, and create safe communities for LGBTQ+ members.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space also provides mental health services to political refugees in Myanmar and Thailand. We provide mental health knowledge sharing, live discussions, suicide prevention education, and other mental health services to displaced brothers and sisters in Mae Sot, Thailand, and Rohingya brothers and sisters everywhere.
Individual counseling service is provided by qualified master level mental health providers. Each individual mental health counseling session lasts for 50-60 minutes and involves a two-way conversation between the client and the counselor. Couples seeking to resolve relationship and other issues can received couple counseling services with qualified master level mental health providers in a safe space. Each session takes about 50-60 minutes, involving a mutual comfort discussion between the couple and the counselor. Jue Jue’s Safe Space offers group counseling services to address occupational stress within companies. These services aim to provide support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges, fostering a more comfortable atmosphere at work or within their communities.
Jue Jue’s Safe Space provided holistic humanitarian relief to communities that are affected by war and natural diasters, bridging the gap between immediate survival and long-term stability.
From 2021 to 2025, Jue Jue’s Safe Space provided USD 91,710 in humanitarian assistance across Myanmar and Thailand, strategically scaling from emergency medical support to sustainable community infrastructure. Our contributions have sustained mobile clinics and medical aid in Chin Land and Karenni State, alongside providing critical malaria treatments and essential supplies for IDP camps. This mission has since expanded to include long-term resilience projects, such as the construction of permanent housing and the delivery of clean water solutions including wells, storage tanks, and bio-sand filters to ensure health and stability for displaced populations.
Following the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake on March 28, 2025, JJSS immediately mobilized to deliver life-saving relief to the hardest-hit regions. Amidst the dual challenges of natural disaster and ongoing conflict, our mission remains clear: providing essential aid to those facing displacement and extreme hardship.
Food Security: Delivered over 4,000 food supply kits to IDP camps across Shan and Kayin States
Shelter & Power: Constructed 6 permanent houses and donated 200 solar lights to restore safety and dignity in Shan State
Health & Hygiene: Distributed 400 hygiene kits and personalized care letters to war and earthquake survivors in Kayin State and Sagaing
Youth Support: Provided more than 135 art and educational supply sets to orphans navigating trauma in Kayin and Karenni States
