Community Engagement

Jue Jue’s Safe Space collaborates with local communities and organizations to provide mental health supports and trainings to Myanmar citizens suffering due to the war and conflict, both within Myanmar and its boarders. We also conduct psychosocial support activities in refugee camps and safe houses located along the Myanmar-Thai border, and we all are actively involved in fundraising initiatives for humanitarian aid due to funding cut from the United States.

Jue Jue’s Safe Space (JJSS) offers mental health trainings and psychosocial support activities designed to assist migrant individuals from Myanmar who are residing in Mae Sot, Thailand. Living without a proper document in Thailand is a daily struggle to live with fear of being arrested and workplace discrimination by the employers. JJSS provides stress management  and other trauma informed care trainings to ease the stress in the local communities with support groups and discussions.

Distributing mental health pamphlets to humanitarian organizations operating in Yangon, Burmese American Communities in the U.S.A  and Mae Sot, Thailand with accurate information to reduce negative sigma against mental health in Myanmar communities.
