March 28, 2025 – Myanmar Earthquake Response

 

On March 28, 2025, Myanmar was struck by a devastating earthquake. Already grappling with the impacts of military conflict and Cyclone Mocha, the people of Myanmar are now facing additional challenges — loss of homes, deep psychological trauma, heightened anxiety, and grief.

 

At Jue Jue’s Safe Space, we believe that healing from trauma is only possible through collective efforts. Since 2019, our organization has been dedicated to providing culturally responsive counseling, Peer Support Training, Suicide Prevention Training, and mental health education in Hawaii (USA), Myanmar, and Southeast Asian communities.

 

In light of the current crisis, we are expanding our mental health support initiatives to help rebuild the resilience of communities affected by the earthquake. We are reaching out to mental health professionals, psychiatrists, counselors, and social workers — both within Myanmar and around the world — to join us in this urgent mission.

 

We are seeking individuals who can provide on-the-ground mental health services,offer virtual or in-person training sessions, technical expertise and mental health resources.

Any form of collaboration is welcome. Together, we can help ease the burdens faced by the Myanmar people and bring renewed hope through mental health support.
